Royal Prep Friday

Royal Prep Princess Camp

Friday - The Royal Ball

Welcome and Coloring Pages - Me as a Princess

Today's coloring page was a little different - Me as a Princess! I cut the girls heads off a picture and glued it to the paper. Ha!   I asked the girls their favorite part of Royal Prep camp.

Craft Project - Princess Fan

Time for our last project of the week! I had gone through a few different ideas for these fans - and wound up using the supplies I had left over to make them. I cut a paper plate in half and covered it with pink tissue paper. I hot glued the remaining pink stones from those magic wands in the middle and then I covered popsicle sticks with purple ribbon. I gave the girls 2 sets of jewel stickers I found at target and they decorated the fans however they wanted.

Princess Game - Scavenger Hunt

Our first game of the Ball was a Princess Scavenger Hunt. There were 7 girls so I had 7 clues.  I wrote the numbers 1-7 on pieces of paper, folded them up and put them in a bowl and had the girls choose a number. They each received a coloring page of the princess that I assigned to that number. While they colored I hid the clues around the house.

I used toys and things we had around the house to go along with each clue for the princess.

1. Tiana - lips (for kissing the frog) hid in the basement
2. Snow White - apple hid in the fridge
3. Rapunzel - hairbrush hid in the bathroom
4. Belle - rose hid in the dining room
5. Aurora - unicorn pillow (pet) hid in the girls' bedroom
6. Cinderella - "glass slipper" hid outside on front lawn
7. Sofia - amulet hid outside on back porch

Once I was ready we gathered in the family room and I read our first clue. I explained that ONLY the princess who had that number could solve the clue and find it.  We all walked together to find each clue and then once it was found we came back the family room so I could read the next princess's clue. The girls LOVED walking around the house and cheered for their friends when they found their clues. This was definitely a huge hit!

Here is a pic collage of each clue:

Princess Game - Pin the Princess on the Castle

Next we went down in the play room to play Pin the Princess on the Castle with the princesses they colored and glittered yesterday.  I taped a cut out of Sofia on to the castle by the door - the closest to Sofia wins!

Princess Freeze Dance and Snack Time

What is a Royal Ball without dancing? I put music on and the girls had a dance party! We also played Freeze Dance and then had a snack.

Princess Game - Pin the Horn on the Unicorn

Back upstairs for a quick game of Pin the Horn on the Unicorn. This was a big hit and also cute because it was mentioned in the Royal Slumber Party we read earlier in the week.

Royal Prep Princess Camp Graduation

Before the party was over I gathered the girls and presented them each with a Royal Prep Certificate for completing Princess Camp.  They are official princesses!!!

I could not have asked for a sweeter group of girls and such a fun week.  My girls and I are looking forward to our next week of Royal Prep!
